Wait. Does that mean I'm the Ghost of Christmas past? The Ghost of Christmas Past is actually a candle in this universe. You're the Ghost of a Murderous Wife in a Haunted Manor, and will feature very soon in the round theming ![:)](http://images.proboards.com/new/smiley.png) ![](https://i.imgur.com/5XTbMG4.gif)

A more general update: All three Tribes are headed to Tribal Council, after rushing through a Challenge which was supposed to take them another day or so before they came up against the point where it was broken ![:lol](https://i.imgur.com/X4ixXao.gif) The Challenge threads are hilarious, but particularly Team Suchet's is well worth reading and cackling through. During the Challenge everyone got Gifts, which we've unwrapped in their Confessionals. These include: - Medallion of Power - Legacy Advantage - Shot in the Dark - Hidden Immunity Idol - 50/50 Coin - Safety Without Power - Knowledge is Power Except they're all severely broken/nerfed versions of what you'd find on Survivor. So the SitD gets rolled every round whether you like it or not, the SWP can't be used on yourself, and the Idol is explicitly a fake. They're also all time-limited and can only be used on their current Tribes, though many of the Actors are yet to properly think through the significance of that. I'll note that on the Production side of things we're referring to this Episode's format as 'Survivor, but Overwrought' (just like the last one was 'Survivor, but Cancelled' ![:P](http://images.proboards.com/new/tongue.png) ) I think all the Tribes have their potential targets down to one or two names, though that could shift as people with busy weekends get back online more, and news of the various items spreads. The Votes will be due/revealed around 22 hours from now, and then we'll be unleashing a whole new level of chaos for Episdoe 3 ![:ha](http://storage.proboards.com/7158043/images/VOvCOHdjdczxDlacdwiV.png)

I'm happy you're happy that your favourites could be happy ![8-)](http://images.proboards.com/new/cool.png) Episode 3 is live, and for this one you get to see Everything! No PMs, only rooms, and your Audience seats can somehow see into all 20 rooms, even though two of them will unfortunately become defunct once the surviving Understudy is decided. I'll also let you in on a secret, if you like: the Legacy Advantage given to some players in their Gifts had instructions that they could transfer it within their Tribe whenever they liked, rather than being something that functions after their elimination like on Survivor. And if any of them had passed the Legacy Advantage around to their friends... they'd have found themselves with a bonus Room for this Episode including all friends in the chain. Alas, nobody transferred it - though one player did consider it as a trust-building measure, but then talked themselves out of it.

Crocodile's room is amazing and I'm rooting for him, Suchet and Ebenezer the most right now. But everyone has been delivering hard here and I'm most upset that this is being run on aussie time and I care too much about my sleeping habits at my old age to have played in this ![:(](http://images.proboards.com/new/sad.png)

I am...overwhelmed! But there's a treasure trove of things to read, that's for sure. For sure. I've been meaning to pop in and help curate the reading experience, so here's an update of sorts now that the 'first' set of Tribes are done with: In Episode 2 the format was Survivor, but Overwrought. There was a long hike to the camps (a bonding challenge, that 'broke' and was 'cancelled') like in the Survivor S11 premiere, we added Tribe captains (but only two of the three showed up) like S11/S22 and began a kind of RI bracket like in S22, plus an excess of (pointless, defanged) Advantages like S33 and S44, given out in the Gifts along the way in the flight/hike, and (a stubborn insistence even when it made no sense to always have) three Tribes like S44. Team Harris came to an uneasy consensus and voted out Trevor over Tootles, and it would have been unanimous had Richard not accidentally forgotten to Vote and self-voted (no comment, can't relate). Team Suchet voted out Smythe but split their Votes onto Plate for fear of their (misunderstood, and so actually not so fearsome) Advantages. And Team Rigg kind of didn't talk beyond the immediate Vote, simply recognised John/Smee's commitment to the (brilliantly in character, but rather unhelpful) shtick made him an easy loss. From this round the best reading will be the Challenge threads, which are found in the 'Team X' boards under the 'Not the Pilot Tribe' header; Tea, Suchet's is the longest but also the funniest. In Episode 3 they couldn't PM, only use Rooms to which they were unable to invite any of their actual Tribemates. They also voted to decide which Tribe should gain Immunity, and had weighted votes based on how many players from the other Tribes named you to gain more Voting Power. Trevor returned to the Game (check out how in the Edge of Redemption board, though it's now archived in a sub-board there) and was Immune for the round. His Tribe asked for the Tribal Immunity and that seemed to be the consensus, because people were afraid of what Trevor might do if given too much Voting Power... but as the only way for Tribemates to communicate was through conduits in multiple Rooms, most of the machinations laid down quickly leaked back to their targets, and before long players on the other Tribes had good reason to actively deprive Team Harris of Immunity, so that they could get if for themselves. So Team Harris had to Vote, and theirs was the simplest one because Tootles hadn't been so active in any of their Rooms, though again there were a bunch of self-votes even from Trevor who was technically Immune from receiving Votes ( absolutely cannot relate). Team Suchet didn't vote in the end, thanks in part to the bonds they built as a whole, and in part due to Plate recognising he was the target and hustling to get people wanting to protect him. Neighbour stole Plate's (annoyingly auto-rolling) Shot in the Dark with his Knowledge is Power (which required understanding the full mechanics of the SitD, which he found out from Trumpeter who had the Team Rigg version). But then they didn't have to Vote and there is a whole lot of tension still ![:<3](http://i.imgur.com/L3NpwEv.gif) Team Rigg was a mess, with almost all of them suggested as potential targets in different rooms. Deer Head seemed like he was in danger first, until Justice asked about targeting Crocodile and so people started aiming at Justice instead. Then Trumpeter made a late push to get Diana out and spare Justice (they're both Robert and had bonded better than Justice had with anyone else early on) so it looked like it might come down to how their Votes were all weighted. But then news got back to Diana and she used her (only for use on others) Safety Without Power to remove Trumpeter from the Tribal Council, Justice played his (only for use on others and also - to his chagrin - non-transferable) 50-50 coin and won safety for Crocodile. But in the end it didn't make a difference to the outcome, and Justice was eliminated. But the team Rigg TC thread in the 'It's An Air Raid' board is easily the best thread of the Round, with crazed reactions and blatant lies being called out even while the Votes were being tallied. All the boards with long titles under 'The Lodge' heading are the Rooms, so you can also see the sum total of all that was said in this round, and it's worth clicking around to get a feel for some of the players and their shticks. The longer threads (you can see the number of posts on the home page) will have the most action and scrambling, but some of the shorter ones are hilariously awkward or dense, like everyone trying to magic away Trevor's bitterness in his room. Right now Justice and Tootles are awaiting the next two boots to join them as Understudies before another player returns to the Game. And we have new trial-themed Tribes, about to be split into tiny mystery Voting Rooms come Thursday night. You can also check out the 'broken' Flow Free in the Acting Workshop, which only two players managed to solve before timing out. (I'll urge you all once again to try Triggering the opening Make It Count Challenge, for a laugh.) And of course the 'leaked' blogs are, surprisingly, still leaking.

If skipping around this much in the episode order is a shock... umm... well let's just say we haven't even jumped the shark yet ![:ha](http://storage.proboards.com/7158043/images/VOvCOHdjdczxDlacdwiV.png) In Episode 4 we switched Tribes by having the cast select numbers, then ordering those in alphabetical order ![:P](http://images.proboards.com/new/tongue.png) and alternating which Tribe they'd be sent to. They were split into five teensy Voting Rooms of only 3 or 4 players, and made to Vote in front of the others. Attempts to game the Rankings and procure safety for players' rooms were not particularly thorough; Diana and Deer Head won the power to save one room each and chose the two highest Ranked rooms which would have been safe regardless. Deer Head's attempt to weaponise his power is in The Prosecution's Tribe board if you want to try and understand the detail... most of his Tribemates did not. All five Voting Rooms are under the 'A Tribal to Watch' heading on the main page, and they're short enough to be a fun and easy read, except for the essays of indecision in the Gym which are still a gem in their own right; Trevor was cut loose by his closest friend Richard, who knew everyone else expected him to side with Diana. Other highlights are Camille's indecision and acquiescence to force a tie in the Living Room, the (NSFW) banter in the Morgue, and the dawning realisation that Mick was doomed in the Livgym Roomorgue. Then check out the Edge of Redemption Archive to find the three rounds of voting that was the next return task, which saw Trumpeter win his way back into the Game - and he's already given a solid account of that on the Defence Tribe board. At the moment we're working our way through three simultaneous Safety Chains - one for each Tribe, and a Joint one for everyone. The three people left at the bottom of a Chain will be eligible for elimination based on the money-counting Challenge... which required everyone to try and count out half of the average sum everyone would count. Nobody's entirely certain what that is (except perhaps Richard, whose winning score was perfectly spot on) so there are at least five people right now who are convinced they'll be leaving this round. Of course, there shall only be two. I can also tease that something very exciting is coming some time tomorrow, for Episode 6, and you might want to look in throughout the week - it's something else that you'll be able to witness in its entirety.

Glad you've all been enjoying this brief interruption to our regularly scheduled programming ![:P](http://images.proboards.com/new/tongue.png) Not sure how closely any of you were able to follow Food Chain? But it was a lot of fun to run and the players did a seriously impressive job of it to come out with 9 winners out of the 13 of them. Makes the upcoming Vote particularly tense, with only four options to choose from... and the threat of your target Dragging you out behind them is keeping the tension marvelously high ![:giggle](https://i.imgur.com/GdXDrBY.gif) If you want to read through the round, I suggest starting with the Planning Phase discussion thread in 'The Defence Once Again'. Then track those players through the Rounds for their discussions of how they can work together to not only win Food Chain but also the Vote afterward. The threads with more posts are obviously where you'll find the most action, though I'll also note that the Trumpeter wrote an entire confessional post just for all of you to see in the Coral Reef, Round 2. Episode 7 will play out over the weekend and it's the one with a Challenge I'll want you to judge. I'll have a post up with all the details for you soon ![:)](http://images.proboards.com/new/smiley.png)
