Ever since we've arrived, I've had a bad feeling about this board. While exploring its far reaches earlier this afternoon, one of our
Naturally the Crew believed not a whit of it and took no action at all... until our sturdy, efficient, useful, reliable, modern, refined phone lines were cut.
We remain uncertain how many of the lines were actually cut, but while we investigate and for the sake of fairness:
everybody must refrain from sending Personal Missives for the duration of this Episode.
We recognise that this may interfere somewhat with our Survivor format, but right now there are more important things to worry about, including the 'safety' of everyone in the ORG. With unknown forces on the prowl and the risk of possession in play, any one of you could be in cahoots with the vengeful spirits so there are some temporary inconveniences we all must bear, temporarily.
We have consulted the experts in the realm of identify and banishing evil, malicious, vindictive, murderous, possessive mole-adjacent spirits. And so as per the Moncrieffe & Fortnoy Pty Ltd Official Investigative GuidelinesTM we will be implementing the following safeguards, in addition to the blanket ban on all phonecalls and PMs:
First, we are also going to insist that you all remain indoors, in various Rooms. We've assigned one beautiful, spacious, bright room to each of you. These should be visible as new boards on this forum's homepage already, by the time you are reading this.
Second, we need you all to remain in small groups, even when inside your own Rooms. Anyone left alone could be a ripe target for possession! But in order to keep our suspect pool small, groups must be limited to a few people only, with a specific guest list. So whenever you are ready, we ask that you go into your Decisions thread and issue Invitations for other players to visit your room. Think of it as a chance to learn the vital skill of Networking, which all successful Actors need to have mastered.
You must invite at least one player from each Tribe. And if you wish to expand the party slightly, you may invite up to two players from each Tribe. For a total of between three and six payers who will be granted access to your Room. Nobody else will be able to visit or to see what you have written there (and the same rules that ordinarily apply about not quoting directly from PMs will be in effect between the various Rooms).
Simply post your list of invitees in your Decisions thread as soon as you are ready to lock those in, and the Crew members will set up the room permissions for you ASAP. Who you invite into your room is entirely up to you, though we highly recommend that you find a way to be in contact with as many of your fellow actors as possible, overall.
Third, the Immunity Challenge for this Episode was meant to see you all working together once again so that your Tribe might be the one kept safe from Tribal Council. However, now that all large, numerous, popular, boisterous, Tribe-wide meetings have been disallowed... we will need some time to adapt the Challenge and render it playable for individuals. So please stay tuned for updates about the Challenge for this Episode.
And fourth, and finally, because we do not want the spirits to take control of yet another vicious murder, your Voting Power in this round will depend upon how trustworthy the other Actors find you. As your own Tribemates can hardly be considered objective on the matter of whether you are in fact possessed by some demon, you should focus upon convincing the Actors from other Tribes that you are trustworthy humans.
Here's how this will work. Later in this Episode you will all need to make a new Decision, naming two players as Totally Not Possessed By Vengeful Spirits - one from each of the two Tribes you are not on. The two people you name will receive greater Voting Power thanks to your choosing them, should their Tribe lose Immunity and need to attend Tribal Council. In recognition of their wonderful Networking, Players who are named by more of their peers from the opposing Tribes will have their Vote for this round counted with a higher weighting , like so:
- If no players name you as Totally Not Possessed By Vengeful Spirits, you will only have the power to cast a single Vote.
- If one player names you as Totally Not Possessed By Vengeful Spirits, your vote this Episode will count as two Votes.
- If two to three players name you as Totally Not Possessed By Vengeful Spirits, your vote will count as three Votes.
- If four to six players name you as Totally Not Possessed By Vengeful Spirits, your vote will count as four Votes.
- If seven players or more name you as Totally Not Possessed By Vengeful Spirits, your vote will count as five Votes.
Episode 3 will end with a voting deadline of 9:30pm EST Tuesday night (American time).
This works out to 2:30am Wednesday morning GMT (for Europeans), and 1:30pm AEDT (for Australians).

Stay tuned for more information about the Challenge (yes, we guarantee that there will be one Tribe winning Immunity this Episode, actually) as well as a template you can use in your Decisions thread to assign extra Voting Power to those you deem Totally Not Possessed By Vengeful Spirits.
One more tiny note. When we did our dress rehearsal this Episode ran smoothly but just a touch too short for its time slot. But do not fear - we have managed to make up those missing minutes with the subtle use of additional adjectives, and unnecessary repetition - the latter in the form of this neat summary below:
TL;DR - EPISODE THREE
Your format is Survivor, but Roomy.
- You may not send PMs, and may only communicate in Rooms.
- Post in your Decisions thread to invite other player into your personal Room - either one or two players from each of the three Tribes.
- The Immunity Challenge is not ready yet. Stay tuned.
- You will need to name one player from each of the other Tribes as Totally Not Possessed By Vengeful Spirits.
- Votes at this Episode's Tribal Councils will be weighted based on how many players name you, as above.
So the actors are prepared, the stage is set. Please enjoy The Lodge! MUHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
