"He is a fine gentleman. And a splendid match. He seems very keen on you. I'm sure you'll be most happy with him."
"And he with my dowry... I wish to marry for love."
"You must marry sensibly, Celeste. Love will naturally follow."

It was wonderful be be back as your Head Righter last Episode and the audience feedback was greatly appreciated. I'd like to thank all those who wrote in with their complaints; the criticisms offered were as artistically sound as they were personally abusive. Needless to say, I will never again be performing my Jamaican accent, and the BBC is breathing down our necks once again. Apparently they have been misinformed that we are not fit to run anything like Survivor, and to quote their latest missive "would be better off sticking to lower-stakes reality television such as dating programmes which not even you could screw up enough to lose the wishing-they-were-still-teen-girls demo."
So, tonight's piece is a period romance.
And we've taken the opportunity to
Thus we offer our hearty commiserations congratulations to our newly affianced Pairs:

Now, we only want the most dedicated and wholesome Pairs to continue on our show, obviously. So you'll also be campaigning together, because when it comes time to Vote, everybody will need to write down the names of a Pair they think is Incompatible and deserves to get split apart! So if I believed (as any fellow with eyes can clearly see) that the Pair of Made Up Artist and Flaw Runner are poorly suited, toxic to one another, and generally insufferable for anyone else to be around if they are together - why, I could submit a Vote for the Incompatability of 'Made Up Artist & Flaw Runner'.
All ten of you shall cast Votes for various Pairs, and the two Pairs with the highest Vote totals will need to get Divorced.
Yes, you heard that right, Divorced. We'll be
So the entire cast shall also get to Vote between the two members of the Divorcing Pairs, and decide which of them should keep their estate, family, friends and career - and which of them should leave this ORG for good.
But of course, those who work the hardest to break up a couple must not be seen to take sides! So if you Voted for a pair to get Divorced, you will not get a Vote in deciding which one of them leaves to join the Critics' Corner.
When you cast your Votes this round, you should use the following template:
The Incompatible Pair I want to see Divorced is:
If Wimblegate & Margaret get Divorced, I would Vote out:
If Trumpeter & Suchet get Divorced, I would Vote out:
If Deer Head & Diana get Divorced, I would Vote out:
If Scrooge & Richard get Divorced, I would Vote out:
If Justice & Camille get Divorced, I would Vote out:
Except that you should delete the line asking you to Vote between the Pair you named in the first line, because naming them to get Divorced means that you would not be able to pick between them, in the event that they did become one of the two divorcing and vulnerable pairs.
Note that you should not Vote for the Challenge winners on the first line. However, you are allowed to Vote for your own Pair, should you wish to do so. As usual, you can change all the details of your Vote as often as you like up until the voting deadline of: 6:30pm Wednesday GMT, which is also 2:30pm Wednesday EDT, and 5:30am Thursday AEDT.
Finally, because this Episode is all about 'True' 'Love' and sharing everything with your partner unless you are extremely sneaky about sleeping around behind their backs because who else do they have anyway, really, you may only send group PMs this Episode, where three or more players are in the conversations, not counting the Chimera Man. And just as crucially, every PM group must include at least one complete Pair!
So if the Pairs were: Flaw Runner & Made Up Artist; Doom Ops & Sex Designer; Special Defects & Composter. Then Flaw Runner could start a group PM with both Doom Ops and the Sex Designer. Doom Ops could hold a conversation with both Flaw Runner and the Made Up Artist. But Flaw Runner, Doom Ops and Special Defects could not use a PM group chain consisting of only the three of them - at least one of their partners would need to be included as well. For all our sakes, we highly recommendyou to start as few new group PMs as possible, but I'm sure you'll all do whatever it is you feel you need to do, regardless.
* Oh dear Lord! I nearly forgot - Our Legal Consultants (we can't afford real lawyers any longer, no thanks to you all) have informed us that there is a possibility of a tie this Episode. They've also introduced us to the Legal concept of 'Trouble in Paradise' which we took as inspiration in setting out the following tiebreaker: In the event that the Vote tally does not have two Pairs explicitly receiving the most votes (for example, a 4-3-3 tally), the Pair who won the Challenge will get to decide which Pair must get Divorced (in this example, they would need to pick between the two Pairs who received 3 Votes).
However, if the wining Pair cannot agree upon which Pair to make vulnerable... their Safety will be voided and they will become the second Pair getting Divorced instead. Hence everyone should still fill in the line on the Voting template that asks you to pick between the supposedly 'Safe' Pair, just in case this becomes necessary.
If there is a tie in the second stage of Voting, where both players in a vulnerable Pair receive the same number of Votes, the tie will be resolved based on their contributions to the Challenge they played together. So in the spirit of friendly competition, make sure you both rack up those posts and points.
TL;DR - EPISODE EIGHT
Your format is Survivor, but United.
- You have all been put into Pairs for the duration of this Episode.
- You can communicate with your partner in a 'Secret Letters' board which only the two of you can access.
- You can communicate with others, but only using group PMS, where each group must include both members of at least one Pair.
- You have 24 hours to complete a Challenge together with your partner. Please get this done by 6:30pm Tuesday GMT, which is also 2:30pm Tuesday EDT, and 5:30am Wednesday AEDT.
- We will then announce the Challenge winners, who will gain Immunity and cannot be voted against as a Pair.
- You'll be voting on two levels: first, Vote for an Incompatible Pair. The two Pairs with the highest vote counts will become vulnerable and need to Divorce.
- Ties between potentially vulnerable Pairs will be decided by the Challenge winners - and if they disagree, they will become vulnerable themselves instead.
- Second, you'll vote for one player from each vulnerable pair to leave the Game. However, you cannot vote for either player from the Pair you voted against in the first voting level.
- Ties between members of a Pair will be resolved based on their respective Challenge contributions.
- Both levels of Voting should be submitted simultaneously, using the template above, by 6:30pm Wednesday GMT, which is also 2:30pm Wednesday EDT, and 5:30am Thursday AEDT.
- Two players will be leaving the Game at the end of this Episode, and joining the Critics' Corner.
***Those deadlines may be moved earlier, if everyone completes the Challenge before the last minute.
